The Head’s Welcome Remarks – Mrs J. Gamanya (Acting Head)
Welcome to Mother Patrick Convent Primary School, one of the finest Catholic primary schools in Zimbabwe. It was established by His Grace Archbishop Robert Christopher Ndlovu and it is run by the Dominican Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The school is situated about 5 Kilometres from the city centre in Mainway Meadows a suburb in Waterfalls in the Capital city Harare. Currently we have a total enrolment of 480 pupils and a staff compliment of 19 teachers. We have classes from ECD A up to Grade Seven with two streams of classes per grade with a teacher-pupil ratio of 1:20 and 1:32 for ECD and Grade One to Seven respectively. The school strongly emphasizes on a holistic approach to education that is academically, socially, spiritually, morally, physically and emotionally enriching.
The Dominican pillars of study, Prayer, Community and Service which mirror the life of Saint Dominic makes Mother Patrick Convent a school with a difference. Since 2010, the school has been a beacon of academic achievement with our pupils showing a rare appetite for academic excellence and thus, being awarded the Harare provincial merit awards for being the school with the best ZIMSEC GRADE SEVEN RESULTS for 2014 and 2015 respectively.
